Duh!

Roland, you are absolutely spot on. I have Sternbergia clusiana. Sorry for
misinforming. Actually, mine have not bloomed yet, but I will definitely
keep an eye out for seeds if people are still interested.

Thanks Ina, But how do they reproduce. A commercial grower will not wait
forever for a bulb to multiply. Are they using a growth stimulating
chemical
on the bulbs to speed them up? Any info you might know would be useful to
me-Russ H.
PS What is the chance I could buy a couple of these sterile bulbs from you?
Of course I would expect to pay for packing and postage. Send me an email
to _jadeboy48@aol.com_ (mailto:jadeboy48@aol.com) Thanks

As I have the one which does not produce seed, I know they do not
gettiny bulbils on them, nothing whatsoever Russ. And they are pretty
slow at multiplying as a bulb.

When you collect the seed please look to see if there is anything
that looks like a seed or bulb growing maybe on a stem or leave base.

Some

plants put out tiny bulbs to reproduce if they don't produce seed
