Narcissus pseodonarsissus & Narcissus bulb fly
Mark BROWN (Tue, 09 Apr 2013 00:52:43 PDT)
That would explain perhaps why I have never had this pest amongst the snowdrops perhaps?
Or any Narcissi at all.
Is there anyone who knows more?
Kind regards,
Mark

Most interesting ,Mark.
I have a patch of Narcissus pseudonarcissus here in Seattle, and the
Narcissus fly doesn't touch it either. I always assumed their is some
particular chemical make-up of the tissues that doesn't appeal. Some
Narcissus varieties are magnets for the fly, and others apparently have
some compound or composition to repel, or, at least not interest this pest.
