I would like to get info on Lilium martagon, can it whitstand semiarid
conditions? I have a very dry sand soil. Will they survive, or should i try it
on an other type of soil, or maybe in pots?
I have a large bed of martagon lilies. They grow in a heavy clay shaded from
direct sun, where the soil really never completely dries out even though
Victoria has a profound drought every summer. (There are advantages to living
in a former swamp.)
Given how well they do where I have them, I'd say dry, sandy conditions will
not suit them at all.
