The table below lists every genus of plants covered in our wiki. If you click on a genus, you'll jump to a page that has general information about the genus, plus photographs and information on the individual species in it. Some genera have so many species that you'll find a series of pages discussing them. The information and photographs were all provided by members and friends of PBS. You may be surprised to find that we present many genera and species that are not true "bulbs" in any strict sense, but are included for reasons highlighted in our guidelines. To see how we determine what is or is not included here, see our guidelines.
The PBS wiki is not an official publication for plant naming. We use the best judgment of our members when listing plant names. The names we use reflect the usage of our members and our best effort to reflect the most widely accepted names, and therefore may not reflect recent name changes. An effort will be made to list previous names as synonyms when we adopt name changes for plants that are widely grown and sold under different names. For more information on names, visit the Families page.
Photographs on these pages belong to the photographers and cannot be used without their permission.
