My question is: if a bulb is so rare (not speaking of G. robertsoniae) is it right to sell it or its seed? Collecting seed for distribution is always in the benefit of the species for a number of reasons, this is out of the discussion. When a plant merchant clearly states that a species only exist as a narrow endemic or a small "tribe" of individuals is it right to sell it? Is it right to support someone that obtain profit from an extremely scarce form of life? There are thousands of bulb hybrids and species in the trade. Do we have to obtain profit from everything?
