I attended the University of Miami, must be the same person. It might have
been Dodson, he of orchid fame and future director of the Selby Botanic
Garden in Sarasota. He also had the first cycads that I ever saw. I recall
that it was not far from Fairchild Tropical Gardens and a well known rare
fruit nursery, all within sight of Biscayne Bay. Very pricey real estate
now.
