A single late stem of Crinum x powellii flowers came up this week on two different clumps. Ipheion uniflorum is starting to open its first flowers, which seems to be the wrong time of year, but I am enjoying the flowers anyway. Allium thunbergii is still flowering. Also white Allium tuberosum. A few flowers have appeared on an unnamed white Oxalis, might be O. purpurea. Lobelia tupa has finally finished flowering. I excavated around it a bit, and in my garden, it has underground shoots, and is spreading around to make an open clump, as of this year, about 4 ft across. Kathleen, on Willapa Bay, PNW coast
