Calochortus

Does anyone have Ron's original description of BX 294 #22 (Calochortus
venustus [NNS 04-82] Central Sierra Nevada, Fresno Co.)? It was
already gone by the 2007 list, which is the earliest I can find.

I wanted to thank Jane and Michael for their notes on Calochortus
culture (and Nhu for sending the seed!), and to add one more note.

I germinated some of Ron's Calochortus collections in 2007 including
several included in this PBX:

Calochortus bruneaunis (NNS 05-12), C. dunnii (NNS 04-65), C. striatus
(NNS 05-157), C. venustus (NNS 05-171)

All germinated within 1 month of stratification, including lower
elevation species like C. striatus that probably did not actually
require it.
