Galanthus nivallis

I am pretty sure it's Mountain View California - Zone 9b. I have lived in the 'bay area' for all my life and have yet to see a single Galanthus...

Hi All,
I have an Irish friend who now lives in Mountain View and would like to
plant snowdrops next fall. I'm a native plant gardener and so don't know
much about this bulb. I see that the Bay Area is outside of their comfort
zone, but that it's possible for them to grow here. Does anyone have
knowledge about their success here? Also, where one might obtain bulbs
next fall?
