Iris unguicularis has bravely put up a flower this week, with several more flowering stalks coming. A crocus is about half up and out, enough to see that it is lavender, but not to confirm the species. And Iphieon uniflorum Charlotte Bishop, which began flowering in November, has more flowers every week, as though it is really getting going on flowering. I'm especially enjoying the iris this winter, as last winter storms blew all the buds off before they opened. Kathleen Kathleen Sayce PNW Coast, WHZ 8, dryish cool summers & mild wet winters
