Hello Fred, try to keep the bulbs cool when storing too....... If you are relocating other garden plants that have any soft new growth, tip pruning will reduce transpiration & I use a great product for stress reduction & growth promotion in seedlings, cuttings & moving plants around which i do all te time & when freighting plants long distances......... It's called New Farm Growth Formula, it's actually for growth promotion for sugar cane sets, during planting, but it if fabulous with soft wood & hard wood cuttings & bulbs.......I can't remember what's I'n it other than high levels of vitamin B, but it will have Giberelic Acid or something similar I'n it I would think.
