A friend of mine grow H. papilio and Hippeastrum hybridum intermingled in the ground, H. hybridum was virus laden, they were both sent to a virus testing facility, H.hybridum tested postive for virus and H. papilio tested negative. They were grown together for five years or more. It has been said that H. papilio seems resistant to virus, some suggest that it doesn't demonstrate visual symptoms. I have never seen H. papilio with any virus symptoms, I asked Dr. Alan Meerow and he has never found a papilio that demonstrated symptoms of virus either. Hopefully this post catches his attention and he can add his two cents. Josh On Fri, Jan 6, 2012 at 2:42 PM, Rahul Grant <rahulgrant@yahoo.com> wrote: > Hi all.
