Lycoris and Rain

Bear in mind that a consequence of heavy and/or sustained
rainfall generally is a drop in soil temperature. Is it
falling temperatures or falling rain that triggers
flowering? Here in SE PA I have nothing out except a few
early Cyclamen hederifolium. The first true harbinger of
fall flowering is usually Colchicum macrophyllum, and that
can be anytime from now onwards. Todays wet falling
temperatures may be just what we need.

Best,

J.
