Hi Jim: Thank you so much for clearing up this mystery. I got my bulbs from a botanical garden that Les Hannibal provided with a lot of material just before his death, and the bulbs looked like seedling bulbs. I have had them eight years, and this is the first time even one has bloomed, although I admit I have not been growing them under ideal conditions. As I put in the first posting, the bulb is not at all like the bulb of A. belladonna, which seems fairly immune here to bulb fly and gophers. I don't think I will trust these in the garden! The cool coastal climate seems ideal for A. belladonna, but these hybrid bulbs are in one of my greenhouses where temperatures reach 100F on sunny days. Now I would love to get my hands on the real 'Hathor' - it sounds so wonderful! Diana Telos
