Re the discussion on smoke-aided germination: I went to http://www.dogpile.com/ and
typed in --fynbos smoke--and 3 or 4 companies turn up with impregnated disks
for smoke-dependent germination of proteas. I have dealt with the fine
bush people in Zambia and they are prompt.The disks are relatively
inexpensive even with postage from South Africa. Adam
