You have a good point about plants that often look good early and crash
later as spring arrrives. I just rechecked a few of our South African bulbs
and Ammocharis corranica, Brunsvigia josephine, and Boophane haemanthoides
still look great. We have also found almost all arum species to be hardy
for us. Arum orientale var. sintensii and A. hygrophyllum are in flower
now. Our low this winter was 8 degrees F.
