In the past, one year my plants budded in late autumn, but it's too cold
and frozen here to open in winter, so the buds hung on until early spring.
The flowers on Mark's plant look like the one that my bulb produced last
October. Perhaps being repotted in midsummer stimulated it into early
bloom, but it still seems odd to me.
