Dear All; With Mary Sue's nod of approval that peonies are geophytic enough for this list (and I certainly agree), I'd like to mention in passing a new book that I was involved with that is now available. 'The Genus Paeonia" (J.Halda and J. Waddick, Timber Press) is the first extensive generic review since 1958. It has been getting a good preliminary reception and I think it clarifies a mass of confused peony names in the literature. You can read more about it at: http://timberpress.com/books/index.cfm/… Copies are available from Timber Press, Amazon.com and most on-line book sellers. One of these days I'll send Mary Sue an intro on the topic, but it is one of the busy seasons so time is limited. Thanks for looking it up. Jim W. -- Dr. James W. Waddick 8871 NW Brostrom Rd.
