Dear Leo, I looked through my archives to see if anyone has ever written about this and found something from Will Ashburner (Australia) from 1998. It is not species specific however. He wrote: "They are rather spectacular. ...They are something that likes to be dried off completely till they look dead and then watered, whence they burst into abundant growth and flower. Hence the name resurrection plant. It takes courage to dry a plant off to death." Also a note from Rachel Saunders from about that time: " All are very showy but quite difficult to grow." Are you saying yours have remained dormant since you acquired it? Or have you raised it from seed? Mary Sue
