I have posted a number of photos on the PBS wiki of Fritillaria species now in flower here. See http://ibiblio.org/pbs/pbswiki/files/Fritillaria/ Among them is one I have designated Fritillaria cf ferganensis. It is one of the infamous Chinese-grown frits that were imported a few years ago, of which I bought some from Paul Christian. Almost all the bulbs turned out to be misnamed. So I need to figure out what this one is. The only information I have on F. ferganensis is that it is somewhat similar to F. walujewii, which this is, I think. Response appreciated from someone who has seen certified specimens. I also posted a photo of Narcissus alpestris, the subtly beautiful "mourning daffodil." Jane McGary Northwestern Oregon, USA
