In a posting made July 26 under the subject "Naked lady nomenclature", I
made another suggestion which perhaps was not noticed in my signature.

No, I did not make that word up, and it has a long history of usage. My
guess is that only an entomologist would guess its meaning off the bat; but
there it is, available to anyone who wants to use it.

reads in seventeen-year cicada country must have encountered the
entomological version of the word during the last few months.
