Manfreda
Nan Sterman (Sun, 18 Jul 2004 18:57:37 PDT)
Iv done extremely well with Manfreda maculosa and Manfreda undulata
in my dry, san Diego garden. though M virginica is from the eastern
and central US, I am surprised that it didn't fare well in LA, unless
the problem truly was over- vigorous watering. : }
Nan
There is a person on eBay that I purchased a Manfreda
virginica from several years ago. The hardiness is
completely lost on me in So Cal but when it bloom it
was very spectacular. I don't know if she is still
selling ont here or not.
I should have donated the seeds to the BX since with
my watering practice, seedlings don't make it too far,
they get washed out of the pots.
