I second Tom (seedman01) on Ebay I too have bought crinums from him and all are in bloom know. Ann Marie, Glendora CA James Yourch <yourch@nortelnetworks.com> wrote:Hi all, Here is a list of commercial sources from which I have bought Crinum and been satisfied. Many of them have come from contributors to this list and wiki. These contributors have been shy about tooting their horns for obvious reasons, but I can do it for them. Regards, Jay Yourch Here they are in no particular order: Plant Delights Nursery - Good selection and good value. All of the bulbs I have bought here have been blooming size, been true to name, and often have large offsets attached. Tony Avent runs this business. http://www.plantdelights.com/ M & C Willetts - I got a few nice bulbs here too. Their response to e-mails is a little slow sometimes, so patience is required, but they do fine otherwise. http://www.bulbmania.com/ Marcelle Sheppard - High quality, correctly named bulbs. Good turnaround if you order from her available list. She has many choice varieties that are in her photo galleries, but not on her available list. She has been good about eventually getting them to me if I express interest. http://www.marcellescrinums.com/ Shields Gardens - I have bought both seeds and bulbs here and have been pleased with both. Jim Shields runs this business. http://shieldsgardens.com/Bulbs/… Amaryllis Plus - I have not bought Crinum here but got some Hymenocallis and Griffinia that were nice. Kevin Preuss runs this business. http://amaryllis-plus.com/catalogue/… Brent and Becky's Bulbs - Not much variety in Crinum, but good quality and prices are reasonable too. Good inexpensive source for the good and very cold hardy C. x powellii 'Album'. The pink version of C x powellii they sell is small flowered and I don't think it is a good Crinum. If anybody wants these to try for hardiness testing, I would send them one or more large flowering size bulbs for the cost of postage. They also sell a pale pink variety of x Amarcrinum, a really nice plant, at good prices. http://www.brentandbeckysbulbs.com/ Ebay - Primary seller is Tom Perry (seedman01). Excellent bulbs. Large flowering sized bulbs of common hybrids like Ellen Bosanquet and J.C. Harvey often go for good prices. He also sometimes offers more unusual bulbs, but many Crinophiles, including me, watch his auctions and these often go for big money. Other reliable sellers are contributors to our wiki, Nestor White (nestorw) and Alani Davis (alanid), but they are not as active as Tom Perry. http://www.ebay.com/ _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.ibiblio.org http://www.pacificbulbsociety.org/list.php Ann Marie So.
