From Mary Sue Ittner: Bulbs: 1. Calochortus vestae--small bulblets of both white and pink forms -- winter growing 2. Cyrtanthus montanus--small offsets from plants grown from small offsets that haven't bloomed yet 3. Oxalis brasilensis--winter growing, but blooms late spring, not dormant very long 4. Oxalis depressa MV 4871--winter growing, just a few 5. Oxalis hirta-- winter growing, offered in recent BX, but if you don't grow it, it's a good one, fall blooming 6. Oxalis incarnata-- expands quickly, white flowers, tolerates shade and may even like it, can be grown as a hanging basket, winter growing for me, but maybe if watered better it could grow at other times 7. Oxalis melanosticta (syn. purpurea) 'Ken Aslet'-- luscious leaves, yellow flowers when it bloom which it doesn't for me, winter growing 8. Oxalis zeekoevleyensis-- some doubt about whether this is named correctly, fall blooming, winter growing 9. Spiloxene capensis -- winter growing, check out on the wiki. I find this one hard from seed, but once you have it, it expands easily. Not blooming size probably 10. Polyxena longituba -- fall or early winter blooming, really short flowers but very charming white flowers with a pink tinge, better as it gets bigger. These are very small bulbs, maybe not blooming size yet 11. Scilla peruviana (Oncostema peruviana) -- winter growing, but almost evergreen in a climate with summer water. From Pat Colville: 12. Small bulbs of Veltheimia bracteata. Pink, winter-growing, sometimes evergreen. 1-2yr seedlings. 13. Small bulbs of Scilla peruviana. 14. Seedlings of Clivia miniata From Jay Yourch: 15. Large bulbs of Ornithogalum saundersiae. These are large plants with broad strappy, glaucous leaves and small white flowers in large clusters. Summer growing from South Africa. (NOTE: $4.00 apiece because of larger size and shipping weight) 16. Small bulbs of Crinum bulbispermum. 2nd yr seedlings. The most cold hardy Crinum, good to Zone 5. 17. Small bulbs of Chlidanthus fragrans. Grow well here in NC surviving the winter and multiplying. However they don't bloom for me and I have since read that in warm soils the bulbs just divide and divide and never reach flowering size. This plant is an Amaryllid from the South America. It has small, glaucous foliage and supposedly has decent sized yellow, fragrant flowers. It would be good for someone with a cool greenhouse or on the west coast where temps are cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. It is a summer grower. Thank you, Mary Sue, Pat, and Jay !! Best wishes, Dell --Dell Sherk, Director, Pacific BX
