Robert Hamilton (Wed, 07 Jul 2004 06:21:05 PDT)

Hi all,

With the current interest in Crinum I am forwarding this message
from Australian bulbs. It is a very good article well
illustrated on the web with Jim Lycos' images.

Cheers,

Rob

Hi All,

For those of you interested in Australian Crinums I was given an
article written by Les Hannibal for the Townsville Historical
Society Journal in 1967. In the article Les covers the migration of
the genus into Australia its dispertion and the geographical variants
of the Flaccidum and Pedunculatum Crinum groups. There is interesting
reading about what can be gleamed from the adaptations and evolution of
the genus in Australia.
Its worthy of a wider audience so I 've typed it into a web document
and added some Crinum pictures. You can find it in the Austbulbs
website in the Feature Articles pages or follow the following link.
