Babiana--TOW

Dear Mark,

Why not just grow Babiana from seed, that way you end up with a plant the is
acclimatised to your conditions. They should flower in their 3rd season.
Seed is available from http://www.silverhillseeds.co.za/ at a reasonable price.
Most of my plants are from seed obtained from them

Dear all,

Now that everyone else has weighed in on this subject, I'd like to ask a

very

small question. What is a good source for Babiana in the USA? I've

ordered

them more than once from Dutch suppliers and they never come up. My

conditions

are similar to Paul Tyerman's, although the cold may be more prolonged and

the

heat more humid.

On second thought, I think that B. nana supplied from Telos did come up,

but

vanished after a hard freeze.

I hope people will always feel they can chime in after the fact on any
thread they missed while they were away or sick.
