Dear All, After the previous discussion about generating letters with accent marks on computers running windows, and the solution of using the ALT key + chart code number method, I decided to document a little known but easier method to produce the accented characters, as well as some special symbols. Once it's in place you can type the most commonly accented letters without needing to refer to a chart with no logical organization (at least, not to humans). This alternate solution works in any Windows application, including Word and browser software. If it might be of use to you, it's posted on the PBS Misc. page as a Word document: http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/… Best, Mark Wilcox Washington, DC
