Recently there was a discussion on watering cans. It made me realise that mine were not suitable for watering tiny seedlings. The one several people were raving about, is not available here in New Zealand. However, I did find an English one which is available here. Haws. I could not afford the big one, but bought a small seedling watering can. I think it is cute. I know, I can hear the groans.... But it isn't just cute, it does the job beautifully. So thanks for that discussion. It woke me up to a problem I didn't know I had. However, the next part is how to tell how dry my big containers are which have a mix of 3/4 pumice x 1/4 potting mix. I bought a cheap thing which has prongs to put into the pumice, but of course not enough touches the prongs. What do others use? Ina -- Ina Crossley Auckland New Zealand zone 10a
