I agree that it will be easier once the flower is open, but I too think at this stage that it looks like Onixotis stricta, now considered by the taxonomists to belong in Wurmbea with the name Wurmbea stricta. This plant grows in very wet spots in the wild so if that is what it is, be sure you keep it well watered while in growth. Mine usually start blooming in February in the Northern hemisphere and last for several months so the timing fits as well. Mary Sue
