An orchid-growing friend of mine has successfully managed to cure a virussed strain of a particularly important orchid clone by using a mixture of human antiviral drugs. It was not easy or straightforward. His advice--seeds are almost always free of virus anyway, so don't be afraid to use virussed plants for breeding. Curing them is too much trouble.
