We have our 15 yr old plants in a variety of pots. We have not been encouraging
full growth because of space constraints and I was frankly caught by surprise
when this latest 'little' one bloomed. It defies the conventional wisdom that
corms need to reach 30lbs. Many places that use injection fertilization are
producing much larger plants, although not necessarily blooming. Also, like most
geophytes that I have played with, once you start treating them nicer, they
respond and grow; i.e., stunting is not permanent.
