Crinum x powellii is hardy here in Oswego, NY - in fact, I excavated my pink ones last year and discarded them - far too much leaf for the flower power, I would say. A clump of white ones that was lost under a Cornus officianalis until recently (cut down the tree) remains. It hasn't bloomed for several years, but I expect it to do better now that it has light and water again. When it does bloom, it's deliciously fragrant.
