Hardy gloxinia

Jim, I had an Incarvillea growing for several years, no problem, until
the day I decided to transplant it, and realised from later reading that
as it was in a place where I may have stood on it when it was dormant,
it never came up again. Don't know which particular one that was, it
had soft pink flowers.
I have one at the moment, which is dormant and have just ordered another
one, Incarvillea Mairei, as I do love the flowers.
This is in Auckland, New Zealand, which is between zone 9-10.
Ina Crossley In Auckland where it isn't raining for a change.
Is anyone else out there growing I. delavayi or any other species of this
genus in the garden? Be sure to let me know where you are. And if you are in
eastern North America and are able to keep them from year to year in the
garden, I would like to know what you are doing.
