Both they carry Gladiolus italicus forma alba !!
G. byzantinus is different, the photo shown in PDN is clearly G. italicus and I do have Patty's strain.
If I have time, I will post something about the differences among G. italicus, G. byzantinus and G. communis (which are separated species)
I have yet to find someone with a white form of true G. byantinus
