Thanks Josh. It has taken me a while but now that I am "jumping in with both feet" regarding growing bulbs. I need all the help I can get!!

Hey Marie :)

If I get any luck with my seed I told Ton I would send him some when they're
large enough but I would be more than willing to send you some as well :)
Especially in your climate I think you could be successful in growing these! :)
I'm glad you've posted, I was once really nervous to post here and finally I
decided that it was silly to think so, we all have to start somewhere :) I'm
jumping in with both feet as Lee Poulsen says :)

I have tried several times to start from seeds and finally got brave enough to
post here and ask if anyone knew of a source for bulbs. I see that it is seems
to be difficult to germinate let alone keep a bulb alive. I think I will keep
trying though. I have tried direct sowing and not had any luck either. As for
our rain fall here in the desert, it is so unpredictable. We have had hardly any
rain this monsoon and some areas have received none while right across the
streeet you might get an inch.
