Hello all, Exactly at the same time as Kansas the Lycoris squamigera are coming up as well. Amazing how it coincides in a complètely different environment. However, in a garden not far from here I planted some years ago several large bulbs of this species under a Phoenix canariensense and never saw a flower there. The bulbs survive with a few leaves every year. The soil type is heavy chalky clay and quite dry in the summer although heavy watering last year made no difference. So the mystery remains Kind greetings Lauw de Jager South of France http://www.bulbargence.com/ -----Original Message----- L. squamigera are coming up en masse,
