Lycoris season 2 - L. squamigera : 2?
James Waddick (Sun, 08 Aug 2010 09:02:06 PDT)
This morning? WHOA, I say! WHOA!!! L. squamigera are coming up en
masse, L. longituba are coming on very strong (seed stock/variable
emergence times expected), a few more L. sanguinea, and the first
signs of L. sprengeri.
Patience is a virtue, and I still lack many virtues. I feel better
now, though.
Dear Kelly,
Patience and rainfall.
We are still very shy of rain although the last rain produced
the current few bloom stalks. These were early flowers. Now that the
season seems more timely, We await rain for the explosion of stalks.
Looks like only L. longituba - the true species is approaching normal
bloom so far. We expect a lot more eventually.
We need rain. Best Jim W.
