grubbing hoe

Just for clarification: when I was getting my C. x powellii out, I wasn't
trying to keep them intact - I was just trying to rid of them. The grub hoe
worked fine for that (someone had commented that it didn't work well in such
deep holes as those in which crinum reside). If you're trying to keep them
pretty, it might not be the tool of choice.

I do believe "grub hoe" is the more common usage (as opposed to "grubbing").
Google displays lots of examples, under either name.
