Actually, Marguerite, you're fortunate that it has not flowered. Of 
all the bulbs I've ever grown, Ferraria crispa has the most offensive 
odor. To me it's worse than some of the aroids that smell like manure 
or carrion, because it's an awful smell that seems to have no cognate 
in the rest of nature. I put up with it (in the solarium) for two 
years and threw it away.
