Dear All; Monday night we went down to -2 F and warmed up to 17 yesterday. Everything in the garden is coated in a thin layer of ice and frozen sleet on top. Less than an inch and no snow to really insulate plants. If you recall, the week before my first crocus and daffodils -among others- had started to bloom. I wish my high temp matched CA's low temp. or "Arctic Express". Last night was a degree or two above zero and it is already zooming up to 12 now. Oh for a balmy California day. Different strokes. Enjoy the cold. Maybe it'll kill some pests and slow down the fungus. Snuggly Jim W. -- Dr. James W. Waddick 8871 NW Brostrom Rd.
