Is anyone else out there having real success with this species?
Not in this corner. I've planted many, many bulbs of this, in a
variety of different locations in my garden, but only in one spot
have they done at all well -- and even there they don't *thrive*.
Most of the others simply disappeared after a while. Why that one
spot works and other don't, I do not know. I consider it a
temperamental and troublesome plant.
