That's exactly how I prepare my rice, and it works very well. I use my
index finger.
Incidentally, I checked the internet. Apparently (according to the Urban
Dictionary) one finger equals one liquid ounce.
Since my chances of having lily beetles are pretty small here in zone 5,
I'll back out of this discussion now.
