Freezing bulbs: Duration vs. low temperature

I suspected as much since Alstroemeria does not appear in my
December, 2009 notes of UCBG or Strybing freeze damage. That
particular cold spell back in 2009 was two degrees colder here than
this past week. It's always good to know there is one less group of
plants to cover at night.

I have several Alstomeria in my home garden in the hills of
El Cerrito, and of course, we have huge patches at UCBG
where it got down to 24F; it has been colder in the past.
No damage to any that I can tell.
