The following inquiry came via the PBS website. I have also forwarded it to Angelo Porcelli, but if anyone else can supply seeds of Gladiolus italicus (or another Gladiolus known to grow in the area mentioned), would you please write directly to Dr. Medovic? PLEASE NOTE: When replying to an inquiry, please write directly to the person who sent in the question, as they are not list members. If the question is of general interest, however, you can copy your response to the list. Thank you! Hi, I'm archaeobotanist from Serbia. During my reserach at an hellenistic site in the southeast of the country I've found strange looking seeds in a cereal storage. According to some photos from the internet, seeds resemble those of Gladiolus italicus. It make sense as the G. italicus is a weed. Unfortunately, I can't find the fresh seeds for the comperisson. I have tried on the eBay, but they have sent me winged seeds of Gladiolus communis. Can you help me to conntact Angelo Porcelli who wrote about Southern Italian Gladiolus (https://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/…). I would apriciete if you could forward him this email, or give me his email adress.
