Hymenocallis liriosme

Thanks Alani. Your opinion confirms mine but I needed it checked because
I've never seen H. liriosme in the flesh and I lost latifolia to our
Chicago-area winters. I was foolhardy in trying it outside without having a
spare in the house. .

*"Does anyone know how liriosme is distinguished from latifolila in
reality?*
*unless liriosme tolerates more water st its roots?*"

I would consider C. liriosme more water tolerant because it will grow year
round with its roots submersed while H. latifolia does not seem to like it
that wet year round though it can be quite tolerant of partial submersion
during active growth. Of course if both can be grown much drier as well.
