English Iris

I've found that Iris latifolia ("English Iris", actually from Iberia)
does best in rich border conditions with a modicum of summer water. I
had three color forms at one time -- the two Jim Waddick mentioned
and a light lavender one. I saw the pink one but did not like it;
many "pink" forms of normally blue-lavender flowers are unattractive to me.

I got my original bulbs from McClure and Zimmerman, an American
importer, and they probably still offer these.

Can anyone suggest a good source for more varieties? Does
anyone hybridize for these things? I know there's a somewhat common
pink cv although I can't recall the name. I'll bet the Royal Dutch
Bulb Soc has registered many cvs that typically are not in commerce.
