Hybridizing in Tigridia

Lists of chromosome numbers for many plant species are at IPCN, maintained
by MOBOT. Just type IPCN into your browser and go from there . You'll learn
a little taxonomical classification on the way

Subject: [pbs] Hybridizing in Tigridia

Gentlepeople,

Looking at the species of Tigridia in the Wiki photo section, I began to
wonder how compatible they are genetically. I was imagining some great
crosses there - and wanted to ask the group if anyone has played with
Tigridias this way. Also, if there is a chart with chromosome counts let
me know as it might be helpful in the event I can gather a couple of
likely parents and give it a try myself.

Thanks!
