Hi, James > Can anyone suggest a good source for more varieties? I'll second your request. I don't think the Dutch are particularly interested in English Iris--apparently they don't force well, and they flower a couple/three weeks later than the Dutch Iris. They can kind of get lost in the rush of so many things flowering in spring. On the other hand, the flowers are noticeably larger. I haven't hybridized them, but have raised open pollenated seedlings. I seem to recall they took four to five years to flower, perhaps with TLC they might do better. The mix I got ran heavily to a white stippled/spotted with light lilac. Don't know if that was virus, or a genetic color pattern. Those bulbs quickly became compost. Ken
