Colima is a bulbous genus in the Iridaceae family, Tigridieae tribe, with 2 species native to the states of Colima and Jalisco in western Mexico. This genus was named by Ravenna in 2003 and included two species formerly included in Nemastylis. Goldblatt & Manning have decided that Colima convoluta really belongs in Tigridia in their new book The Iris Family (2008).
Colima convoluta now known as Tigridia convoluta, syn. Nemastylis convoluta, has yellow flowers.
