Onixotis

Onixotis is a genus in the Colchicaceae family of two species, found in the winter rainfall area of South Africa. Manning, Goldblatt, and Snijman, 2002 in our reference bibliography has more information. Since that publication, J.C.Manning & Vinn., Taxon 56: 177 (2007) have suggested that this genus be included in Wurmbea. This change has now been accepted in South Africa and by Kew.
